On Sunday BWFC Whites took part in the FA Power Play Tournament at the Castle Vale Stadium. Sixteen women’s teams registered over four groups with BWFC in the Ellen White Group alongside Arden Forest, Inkberrow, and newly formed Stratford. In the first part of the tournament BWFC struggled to find the back of the net drawing both games 0-0 with Arden and Inkberrow and loosing 1-0 to Stratford. The second half of the tournament saw the team play Hartshill Reds, MK and Long Eaton with no goals scored until the final match v Long Eaton where the Whites found their mojo winning 3-0 with goals from Lucy x2 and Luisa. The teams thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the day and getting to meet ex footballer and Sky Sports pundit Sue Smith.
