Walking football is a great way to start moving again, to have a kick about, to make new friends and get fit whilst having some fun. An hour a week of Walking Football can really make a difference. It can help you lose weight, get fit, build strength and develop better balance and core stability. Our sessions cater for unisex over 40’s,50’s,60’s,65’s,70’s, those less mobile due to illness or injury and women only.
Despite the name, the sport is no walk in the park, a game as mental as it is physical and stifling the urge to run is an early challenge. Passes must be made with pinpoint accuracy to have a chance of any success, lofting a tentative through ball is of no use here.
Walking Football allows people of all generations to access a different type of competitive football whilst helping to keep you fit and healthy, there are over 1000 walking football teams in the UK and now with the backing from the WFA & FA there is a genuine buzz for the future of the sport.
It really doesn’t matter how old you are, what size you are, what background you are from or whether you are male or female, if you love football this is the game for you!
