REHAB Program/injury management

We are all aware that one of the biggest hinderances surrounding the participation of Walking Football is the ever present worry and recurring issue of injuries.  We, as a club, have been very conscious of this for some time and have been looking at ways in which we can support our players should they pick up injuries during participation.  Therefore, we have tried to form a type of pathway back following injury which would be supported by specialists in assisting players back into activity.   As a result we have teamed up with Burton Physio Group who will be delivering an on site clinic at Solihull Football Centre on Mondays in the coming weeks, I will send out details of this service over the next few days.

In support of this we have organised a rehab session, that will also take place at Solihull Football Centre, on Monday mornings starting this Monday 26th at 09:30. This session is aimed at players that have sustained an injury and are not quite ready for full participation in regular sessions.  Sessions will consist of stretches, movement and light ball work, it is NOT a fitness session.  The class will also be FREE OF CHARGE for an initial period depending on numbers and popularity etc. There is limited availability and therefore we would like you to book on in the normal way https://bookwhen.com/mpsports

The support coaches running these groups will also be available for private ‘1-2-1’ sessions should you wish to ‘tackle’ your injury in a more pro-active way and there is a separate pricing structure for this service.

Put in simple terms, should you feel you need a physio after sustaining injury, we will have one on site in Solihull on Mondays.  If you wish to progress to ‘testing out’ the injury we have the FREE rehab session and if you wish to further that with specific personal advice then that can be arranged directly with our specialised coaches.

The Physio group and the coaches we will be recommending to you are experts in their fields and I have personal experience of how good they all are.
