HELP SUPPORT MILE A DAY IN MAY

HELP SUPPORT MILE A DAY IN MAY

As many of you will know one of members Steve Rogers, suffered a brain injury after a car accident while at university. Since then he and his family have been heavily involved in the charity that supported him in his road to recovery. Please if you can spare a few pounds help support them and the work they do for others like him…..

As you will know Sue, Steve and I are heavily involved with the Silverlining Brain Injury Charity. The Charity has been doing some great work over the past year keeping brain injury survivors in touch and involved with all sorts of on-line activities. Please have a look at the new promotional video which gives an insight into what has been going on. If you look closely, you’ll even see Steve jumping out of an airplane!!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTP92Sesa10

In common with many other charities, the Silverlining had to cancel most of its fundraising activities in 2020 because of the pandemic. To help address this, the Charity has just launched its ‘Mile a Day in May’ campaign where the aim is for Silverliners to walk, run, cycle, wheel, paddle or whatever a ‘mile a day in May’. Sue, Steve and I decided that we would like to take part:

  • Steve will attempt to walk at least a mile a day,
  • Sue will attempt to run (if her knees allow) or walk (if they don’t), and
  • I will attempt to ride at least 10 miles a day (Sue and Steve thought this was only fair as I was going to be sitting down!)

We have created a fundraising page and if you could possible spare a little to support this amazing Charity that is doing such wonderful work for brain injury survivors, we would be so grateful.  https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/CaptainSteveandtheJollyRogers

Thank you so much

David, Sue and Steve
