On Saturday member Alan Baillie organised a small walking football tournament to raise money for the homeless charity he supports Lets Feed Brum. There were 4 teams Blues, Villa, Baggies and The North who took part at Solihull Football Centre.
There were 12 x 50 mins games, each side playing each other twice. After an entertaining afternoon, the eventual winners were ‘The Blues’ who won on penalties.
A massive £350 was raised by the event which allowed food parcels to be bought and delivered to the LFB Solihull drop off point.
Alan Baillie commented; ‘I would personally like to thank Paul Murtagh for allowing us to use all facilities free of charge, also it has been noted in dispatches that certain sides have questioned his walking technique’.
After receiving the clubs donation LFB Alan Strang Chair of Trustees sent his thanks;
‘On behalf of everyone at Let’s Feed Brum a huge ‘Thank You’ for your ongoing support and donations.
The walking football team have been so supportive to us and your kindness has been greatly appreciated by the homeless community

Many thanks
